6 Habits for Restful Sleep

Hey everyone and happy Monday!

I just came off of an amazing weekend where I did little more than rest, relax, exercise and sleep! What a joy! Even though I have no trouble sleeping, I’ve been having a busy Spring which has led to less sleep than I would like. And boy, don’t I feel it! Even just a one hour reduction in sleep on a consistent basis can throw me off. So whenever I can I make sure I make enough time for sleep and relaxation in order to make sure that everything is working as it should.

Sleep is such an integral part of a healthy life! It allows your body to regenerate itself and decompress from the stressors of life. It allows for balanced mood and energy levels and can even have a beneficial effect on your weight and food choices. Everything improves with sleep and it is important that you get a good amount of it in order to feel and look as best you can.

Yet one of the main complaints I hear in my practice is how elusive quality sleep can be for so many people. Whether it is difficulty in falling asleep or staying asleep, many of you out there are just not getting the restorative sleep you need to live in an optimal way.

In today’s video I am going to share with you the 6 best tips I know of to help you get quality sleep. You will learn some of the best habits I know of to insure restful sleep. I cover everything from food choices in the evening to dealing with your Blackberry.

Once you’ve watched the video I want to hear from you! Do you have trouble sleeping? If so, I challenge you to pick one of the six habits I mention, the one that resonates the most for you, and practice it for one week to see how you feel. Share your comments below, as it is always great to hear from you!

Wishing you all a wonderful Monday and a happy and restful week!
