Managing Sciatic Pain: What a Pain in the A**!!

Good morning and happy Monday!

Today’s Motivational Monday comes by direct request from one of my regular viewers. Donna reached out and asked what she could do to manage her sciatic pain and knowing that this is a very common problem (Fozzy has it too!), I decided to put together a video of everything I know to do to manage sciatica.

If you’ve ever had it, then there is no mistaking what it is. Sciatica is nerve pain that runs from the lower back, all the way down the back of the leg. The discomfort is so intense it can make it difficult to sit or walk for any length of time. It occurs often in pregnancy because as the baby grows it puts pressure on the sciatic nerve, but it can also happen at any stage of life for various reasons. But all have one underlying component: Inflammation.

Inflammation is the root cause of pain and disease. When managing your health, you want to focus your efforts on reducing inflammatory processes in your body so that it can run optimally and efficiently. In today’s video, I will first discuss dietary guidelines to help reduce and manage inflammation and then lifestyle factors you can consider specifically for sciatic pain.

Once you’ve watched I would love to hear from you! Have you ever had sciatica and if so, what did you do to manage it? Did you change any facet of your diet? Or adopt a different exercise routine? What worked for you? Let me know in the comments below.

Enjoy today’s video—I hope you find it helpful!

Have a great week!
