Homemade Yogurt that’s Great for your Skin!

Good morning everyone!

It’s so great to be back to work and Motivational Monday’s after the devastating storm that hit our area a couple of weeks ago. While I was okay, sadly, my family was hit hard and at the moment my apartment looks like a refuge camp! Five adults in my space is a lot but I am so grateful that I have the room to accommodate my parents and my cousin while they get themselves back on track. It has been a difficult time for so many people and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you have been affected by the storm.

Keeping our health in tip top shape is one of the best ways to manage any crisis and keep yourself from being sucked under by anxiety, stress and depression that goes hand-in-hand with challenges. During difficult times so many people revert to old eating habits out of convenience or comfort and find that in doing so, it is even more challenging to stay calm in the midst of chaos. Hopefully, through weekly Motivational Monday’s you have found some solid suggestions to keep you sane and healthy even during the most difficult times and today is another wonderful suggestion to add to your health repertoire to keep you healthy and beautiful!

In today’s video I am going to show you how to make a coconut based yogurt that is healthy, delicious, loaded in nutrients that can boost immune function and energy levels and will move you away from dairy based yogurts that can be bad for your skin.

If you suffer from acne or eczema or any other skin condition, then you may not be aware that dairy products have been linked to inflammatory conditions of the skin. Even yogurt. Yet so many people run to their doctor when skin conditions flare up only to receive a prescription for an antibiotic or cortisone cream to temporarily manage the condition. Food elimination is rarely if ever discussed as a healing option. Unfortunately, these medications do not heal the underlying cause. The only way to do that, is to look at and change your diet.

Homemade coconut yogurt is a delicious staple to keep in your home. It takes minutes to make, can be sweetened with antioxidant-rich fruit such as berries and will not only help improve the quality of your skin, but will also support healthy thyroid function, improve energy and cognition and boost immune function.

Check it out and let me know what you think. Particularly, do you have a favorite fruit you like to have in your yogurt? Have you ever made coconut yogurt at home and if so, did you like it? I’d love to hear your feedback so let me know.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and that things are back to normal for you and your loved ones~
Have a happy Monday!
