August is around the corner and in New York City that means the extreme heat is on it’s way. August is the most brutally hot time of the year and many people beat the heat by beating town and heading out on their family vacations. If you don’t have that luxury then you’ll definitely want to watch today’s video.
But you don’t have to live in New York City to know that extreme heat and humidity can not only be uncomfortable but in some cases, dangerous to your health. Being overexposed to heat can make you lose vital nutrients that are necessary for the proper functioning of your heart and muscles. There is also the danger it can pose to the health of your skin, not to mention your comfort level. It is hard to stay comfortable when you are feeling sticky and sweaty.
