Happy Monday!
Christmas is just days away and hectic though the days may seem, there is always a little time for some solid nutritional habits to help you feel and look your best.
While you may not have loads of time to prepare fancy meals and snacks, I have one snack option that takes just minutes to make, is delicious and can be served as an appetizer at your next holiday event.
Personally, I love olives. Even as a child, they were one of my favorite snacks and in today’s Motivational Monday video I am going to show you how you can spice up your olives to boost their flavor and their nutritional value.
I got this idea after spending too much money at my local Italian market on a similar product and also from my boyfriend Fozzy, who loves to spice up his olives with ingredients he has on hand. It’s so simple… all you need are some of your favorite vegetables and spices and a good quality olive oil, and you are good to go.
So take a look and see what you think. Like I said, you can serve it at your next party or if you put them in a nice decorative jar, you can bring as a gift to your host at your next invitation.
Wishing you all a very happy and healthy holiday season!
Lots of love,
xox

Ingredients
- Jar of your favorite olives
- Finely chopped scallions/spring onions
- Thyme, Oregano and Paprika (use your favorite herbs as flavoring—fresh or dried work equaly well.)
- Finely chopped garlic
- Olive oils
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a jar. Shake well. Enjoy! (For best flavor, enjoy the olives the day after, when they are well marinated.)
I just made an Asian themed version of this by adding finely chopped garlic, ginger, red chili and chives with olive oil. Finished it off with Spanish paprika. They were delicious!
I can attest to how good these were since I was able to sample them~ Thanks Fozzy!

Really tasty! Thanks!
Glad you liked them Kiesha!
Barbara,
Hubby doesn’t like olives like that and wanted to eat the entire jar! It’s a big jar too! 🙂 Hope all is well. Thanks.
Sorry,, but didn’t get the spices that you were adding. The one that was good for your hair. Thank you.
Garlic was the ingredient that contains sulfur which is good for hair. I also added scallions, oregano, thyme and olive oil. But you can use any spice you have on hand. Enjoy!
My husband, grandson and I love olives. These were perfect! Thank you so much for shatring.
Thanks Bre! Glad you enjoyed them~ I hope you and your family are off to a great new year!
