Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed an excellent weekend!
Anyone else feeling the weight of the holiday season bearing down? Stress begins to rise as plans get made, food is everywhere, making it hard to stay on track. From what I hear, the landslide begins to happen right after Halloween and from there it feels like one big eating event after another. With all the candy and desserts around to tempt us between Hallows Eve through Thanksgiving, Chanukah and the New Year, it is difficult indeed to stay true to your health goals. This is why it is so important to have healthy treats around as an alternative to help you stay focused and on point while still enjoying a sweet treat.
Today I am going to share with you a wonderful recipe I got from a client of mine who makes them regularly to satisfy her sweet cravings. And because it is apple season, this is a snack you can make throughout the fall and keep on hand to help you stay on track with your goals.
As always, I welcome your comments and feedback. And I thank you for sharing your Monday morning with me-
Have an amazing week!

Greetings Barbara on this Tuesday afternoon. I hope this day finds you doing FANTASTIC!
I just took the apple and pears out of the oven, after 2 hours in total. They taste good but they weren’t crispy, more chewy if anything. Was I suppose to pat dry the fruit before sprinkling w/ the cinnamon and date sugar? They are still good chewy!
I think I need to invest in a toaster oven! Maybe Santa will bring me one :-).
Hey Josie!
Once you shut off the heat, let the chips sit in the oven for a while, until the oven cools off and that will help to make them crispy~
I hope this helps!

Thanks Martha!
WHAT IS DATE SUGAR ?
It’s sugar made of desiccated dates.
i love your little oven! date sugar sounds like a great idea. will make these this week!
Ha! So much easier in the toaster oven…
Looks yummy! I’m passing this along to a cousin whose 2 year old son is on a gluten-free, dairy-free diet. She buys him expensive apple chips for his snack. Hopefully he loves them.
Hope all is well with you.
Thanks Angela! Hope all is well with all of you too!
