9 Supplements for Healthy Hair

Hey everyone and Happy Monday!

A couple of weeks ago I posted  a video on health considerations for great hair and it sure did receive a lot of feedback. I got loads of emails from people who were eager to understand how their overall health could be affecting the quality of their hair. It was interesting to hear from folks who did not see the connection between their blood sugar and their hair and others who never considered it might be an immunity problem that could be contributing to their hair loss. It was great to connect with each of you.

Today I am taking it a step further. If you’ve wondered what supplements might be helpful on your path to having healthy, great hair, then today’s video is just or you!

In today’s video I review 9 supplements may be the most beneficial in helping you to have healthy, strong hair. Whether your problem is shedding, splitting or lack of growth, you are sure to hear of a supplement that may be useful for you.

Like always, it is important to discuss any supplementation with your health care practitioner to make sure it is right for you, so please do so. Once you do, I’d love to hear how these supplements may be benefitting you on your path to healthy luxurious hair-

Wishing you a very happy Monday and a wonderful week!

Hi Barbara: Here are the ingredients I use in my shampoo that I make myself. Rose hydrosol, distilled water, citric acid, zanthan gum, vegetable glycerin, wheat protein, cornacopa, nettle extract, horsetail extract, lemon essential oil, lavender essential oil, rosemary essential oil, sandalwood essential oil, geogard ultra. I also make conditioner. Water, rose hydrosol, citric acid, seaweed extract, conditioning wax, geogard ultra, jojoba oil, vitamin e, nettle extract, d-panthenol(b5). Roman chamomile for blonde or rosemary essential oil for dark. Or I switch up the essential oils as I feel appropriate. Sorry I took so long to get back to u. This is the shampoo and conditioner I use and also my family. I have my hairdresser use it when she does my hair. She loves it and so I gave her some as well. We all love it. Lori.

This sounds great Lori! I’ll look into getting the ingredients. If you have any leads on that, I’d be interested to hear. Thanks for taking the time to post this!
      Have a great day!

Nice to see Nettle tea listed here! I recently became a big fan of Nettle tea esp before bedtime…it can be found at many Eastern European food shops.

Thanks for your good work and help. I have always had good hair and have kept it as I grew older and I thank my use of Young Living Essential oils. Any hairdresser I go to comments on how thick and healthy my hair is. I use a great YL hair shampoo. And I know the other avenue that is helping lot is my liver and body cleanse that I maintain. I even see my salt and pepper hair getting more pepper and I don’t do anything. So I agree that good healthy natural supplements can really work!!
